Labour Force Activity


The labour market provides an indication of how many people are employed and unemployed, and participating in the labour market. Labour market indicators shed light on current labour market conditions as well as trends.

Information on labour market activity in the NWT is available monthly and annually for the NWT. Information for specific communities is available every 2 to 3 years from the Census and NWT Bureau of Statistics' surveys. Refer to the Labour Market Publications at the bottom of the page for a downloadable discussion of the different sources, methodologies and data implications.
