Poverty Indicators

The NWT Bureau of Statistics provides indicators that may be used to assist in the analysis of income distribution in the Northwest Territories and, by extension, indicators of poverty. While there is no official or single definition of how poverty is defined, indicators such as access to adequate housing, essential goods and services, health and well-being, community participation and income can be used to examine dimensions of poverty within the Northwest Territories.
